Church Piano Accompanist :

We have an opening for a Church Accompanist position. Weekly duties include 1 hour choir rehearsal on Thursday evenings at 7:30, Sunday morning worship (one service beginning at 10:30 a.m.), preparation time at your convenience, and occasional other duties. More specific details are below:

a.    Participate as an ex-officio member of the Worship and Music Commission. (Meets once a month before choir practice on the 1st Thursday of the month)

b.    Coordinate with the Pastor in planning weekly services and special worship services (i.e. Christmas Eve). Worship duties would include accompanying hymns, choir anthems, coordinating with other musicians, and making sure music is provided when necessary (Prelude, offering, children’s time, postlude, etc.)

c.    Coordinate with the choir director and attend Thursday evening choir practices to provide accompaniment. 

d.    Be available to accompany the children’s choir if so desired by the children’s choir director. 

e.    Provide music titles and relevant information to the administrative assistant by Friday morning for the weekly bulletin.

f.    Provide relevant information to the administrative assistant for the monthly newsletter.

g.    Provide a monthly written report to the Worship and Music Commission
 

The weekly rate is $200 and includes workers comp. insurance.
